The FZG gear test rig is a test machine with a mechanical power circuit.
The drive gearbox and the test gearbox are connected by two torque shafts
due to friction. The load is applied with a clutch on 1 shaft.
The gearbox temperature can be set and controlled during a test.
The test rig is driven by an electric motor with a speed of 1,500 rpm.
The adjustable-speed test rig operates at bidrectional speeds from 100 rpm
up to 3,000 rpm.
The load can either be applied by weights (load stages) or with the optional
tension ratchet.
